The Mission
“There’s no soccer team… but WHAT IF there was…”
That’s the line we kept hearing. From alumni. From current students. From fans of the game. This is deeper than jerseys.
This is about legacy, pride, and the global game that never quite took root at many Historically Black Colleges and Universities—UNTIL NOW.
Our Community
For decades, HBCUs have been the heartbeat of Black academic and cultural excellence. Only a handful of HBCUs currently have NCAA-sanctioned soccer teams, but budget priorities lean toward revenue sports. With no long legacy, soccer gets cut—or never starts.
This results in generations of Black kids who loved the game but saw no path forward in college—unless they went outside of the HBCU system.
This curated spotlight serves as both homage and creative reinterpretation—rooted in real pride, honoring authentic identity, and paving the way for imagined futures on the pitch.
